Job Title: School Crossing Patrol Officer
As a School Crossing Patrol Officer, you will play a vital role in community safety by ensuring children and other members of the community safely cross the road at a designated point during specified times.
Qualifications and Experience:
* No formal qualifications are necessary.
* Ability to cope in all weather conditions.
* Good road sense and knowledge of the Highway Code/Green Cross Code.
* Previous experience working with children is desirable.
Responsibilities:
* Attend the patrol point daily at school opening and closing times, including short notice in case of unscheduled school closures.
Working Hours:
Main hours are 08:15am to 09:10am and 2:50pm to 3:25pm.
* Location: Dairsie Primary School
* Hours: 7.5 hours per week, 38-week contract
Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary of £22,525.71 pro rata.
* Scottish Local Government Living Wage of £12.00 per hour, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

The Person:
Training in safe crossing procedures will be provided. You will need to:
* Complete an annual Occupational Health Surveillance Questionnaire.
* Attend Occupational Health Assessments as necessary.
* Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership for working with children through Disclosure Scotland before confirming your appointment.
* Attend Induction Training before starting in the role.
