Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Carers to provide personalised care and support to individuals in their own homes. You will play a crucial role in helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. This role requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to deliver high-quality care tailored to each individual's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care: Assist clients with activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
Medication Support: Help with the administration of medications, ensuring clients follow their prescribed treatments.
Mobility Assistance: Provide support with moving, walking, or transferring clients safely, ensuring their comfort.
Meal Preparation: Prepare and assist clients with meals in line with dietary needs and preferences.
Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship, ensuring clients feel valued and cared for.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including any changes in the client's condition or requirements.
Communication: Build trusting relationships with clients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure effective care delivery.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is preferred, though training will be provided.
Driving: Full UK driving license and access to a car is required due to travel between client's homes.
DBS: A clean, enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is essential.
Skills: Strong communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to follow care plans precisely.
Flexibility: Must be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
