Roles and Responsibilities
Technical Expertise and Work Quality
* Demonstrate a working knowledge of technical aspects related to functional and industry specialization.
* Follow YHB guidance regarding secure use of hardware, software, and client information.
* Maintain proficiency with relevant firm technical resources and computer applications.
* Strive to develop and maintain a high level of technical competence.
* Draft professional correspondence to clients and superiors on complex subject matter.
* Prepare neat, organized, and cross-referenced workpapers.
* Review workpapers prepared by Associates for accuracy and supportable conclusions.
* Complete assignments on time and within budget.
* Assist in preparation of current file and financial reporting requirements.
* Evaluate engagement performance and formalize suggestions for improvement.
Client Management and Service
* Maintain confidentiality of firm and client information.
* Demonstrate ability to work under time constraints.
* Develop and maintain strong, positive client relationships.
* Commit to responding to clients within 24 hours.
Business Development
* Recognize that practice expansion comes from existing and potential clients.
* Actively develop own referral network.
* Participate in civic/professional organizations and YHB marketing activities.
Personal Participation and Professional Development
* Prepare personal development plans and track marketing activities.
* Participate in industry meetings and seminars.
Leading and Developing Others
* Provide Associates with the framework to complete assignments.
* Participate in the training and evaluation of team members.
Required Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field required.
* Requirements to achieve CPA certification.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
