The Role
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a SEND school supporting pupils aged between 5 – 18. Working as part of an established team, the desired SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting children with a range of needs: SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disability) and ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition), either 1-1 or in small groups. This role will be Monday to Friday 8:30 – 3:30.
The School
This School based in Devizes, provides support for Primary and Secondary aged children (5-18) who have ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) as well as non-verbal needs. This School is extremely dedicated to serve their pupils, striving to develop ambition, confidence and potential for each and every one of them. They closely track the progress of students to ensure they achieve more than they ever thought possible and guarantee that there is effective and prompt support and intervention when needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with SEND children
- Have a caring and positive nature
- Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people
- Understand the crucial importance of keeping young people and children safe
- Be willing to pay for a DBS check and register with the Update Service

Salary
£12.86 to £13 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
