As a Geotechnical/Geo-environmental Engineer with our client, you'll be involved in diverse projects, based in Sheffield. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting site visits for tasks like trial pitting, soak-away testing, and supervising borehole investigations. Overseeing construction activities such as inspecting foundations and managing remediation of contaminated sites. Generating Phase 1 and 2 geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation reports. Preparing coal mining risk assessments and earthworks strategies. Engaging with clients, regulators, and internal teams. Providing expertise on geotechnical parameters for foundation design and conducting risk assessments. You: We seek Geo Engineers with a strong Degree or Masters in Geology, Geography, or Civil Engineering, actively pursuing professional development with relevant bodies like the Geological Society or Institution of Civil Engineers. Technical experience across various geotechnical/geo-environmental projects is essential, along with the ability to oversee site investigations and produce comprehensive reports. A valid driving license is a must, with mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
