In our Complex Needs supported accommodation inPenrynour Support Workers work as part of a larger Support team to provide support services to people, who have/are experiencing substance & alcohol misuse, mental ill heath, fleeing domestic abuse and any other challenging issues. This will include lone working on a regular basis and working days and weekends.
As a Support Worker, you will be working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlordsand/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment. You will need to write, review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.
We are looking for someone who is motivated to make a positive contribution to the lives of the people we support and a can do approach to their work. Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community.This role will be challenging at times as you will be working with and supporting clients across a range of difficult and challenging issues/behaviours; an attention to detail, using your initiative and problem solving will be key.
This role is being offered on a part time, permanent basis, working 22.2 hours per week on a rolling rota, to include weekend working. Bandwidth hours will be 8am to 9pm.
