Description:
We will rely on you to:
* Be a valued member of the compliance function supporting the investment business by performing second line of defence compliance monitoring to detect control deficiencies, provide sound advice on regulatory compliance matters, and provide timely reporting to senior management.
* Have a strong understanding of the Central Bank’s priorities and experience in responding to Central Bank communications.
* Support the Compliance Officer on site visits to delegates: preparation of pre-site visit questionnaire, review of responses, attendance at the site visit and preparation of the site visit report.
* Annual review of SLAs with service providers.
* Liaise with the Fund MLRO and assist with the oversight of AML & CTF risk, as required.
* Arrange quarterly oversight meetings between Compliance and the Fund MLRO: manage the agenda, minutes and track actions to completion.
* Review and maintenance of key company documents such as the Programme of Activity, Compliance Manual etc.
* Maintain oversight of scheduled key regulatory returns.
* Assist in the response to CBI inspections/surveys/returns/letters.
* Support the Compliance Officer in performing DP Regulatory Compliance duties, as required.
* Perform compliance monitoring reviews in line with the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan or as requested by the board.
* Product Governance: provide compliance support in the review of fund documentation ahead of launch and on an ongoing basis, where required.
* Provide compliance support to the delivery of newly designed fund documentation to ensure documents are clear, fair and not misleading (project work).
* Develop and maintain policies and procedures supporting a culture of integrity, risk management and excellence in the Investments business in Ireland.
What you will need to have:
* Highly motivated with a passion for compliance and investor protection in the investment funds industry.
* A broad understanding of Irish (and EU) Investments regulation in particular UCITS & AIFMD, MiFID.
* Good knowledge of fund structures, different fund types and different asset classes would be an advantage.
* Minimum of three years’ risk and compliance experience at a fund manager, investment firm, depositary or administrator.
* Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities assigned.
* Ability to prioritize activities while working on multiple tasks and achieve target deadlines.
* Ability to work effectively within a small, fast growing team and assist in the development of that team.
* Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with internal and external clients at all levels. Fluent English essential.
What will make you stand out:
* Investment/Fund Compliance experience particularly advantageous.
* A current role in the Risk, Audit or Compliance group of an asset management/regulatory advisory firm would be valued.
This role will fall in scope for Control Function CF2 in line with the Fitness & Probity regime overseen by the Central Bank of Ireland.
