We have demonstrated our capabilities to deliver both highway maintenance and multi-million-pound highway infrastructure schemes. This success has gained stakeholder confidence which has meant we are now the "Provider of Choice" for Highways Services in Lancashire. What we are looking for… Assistant Quantity Surveyor – For this exciting opportunity, we are seeking a Highway Quantity Surveyor who has both applied and theoretical knowledge Quantity Surveying for civil engineering and public realm works. You will be professional in your approach and possess an aptitude to excel to make this role a success – you will prepare and review tenders in procuring highway works and materials, prepare Bills of Quantity, manage, administer and report on work budgets, procure services and materials whilst working with LCC Procurement Services – you will have a professional qualification in Quantity surveying, but consideration will be given to applicants with technical training through experience -you will be a confident manager of people and a team player- You must have a strong customer focus to ensure delivery of a service producing an excellent quality of work for our customers – you will need to have the drive and resilience required to deliver a service whilst proactively monitoring budgets and maximising resources effectively – your analytical approach will utilise data and market information to inform our service delivery and improve performance by ensuring best value - in addition, you'll have the confidence to deliver exceptional customer service whilst promoting this ethos across all of our teams – finally we'll need someone to have the political awareness required to support our corporate responsibilities.
