Senior Technical Delivery Manager - Sports Broadcasting
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Delivery Manager to join a leading sports broadcasting company initially on a fixed term contract through to the latter part of 2027. In this role you will play a key role in defining and implementing processes that ensure the successful delivery of cloud and on-premise production platforms for major sports events globally.
You lead a small team of Technical Program Managers and Engineers taking responsibility for the delivery of key workflows related to Cloud Production and Asset Management. You will develop and oversee complex multi-year, multi-client project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met within set timelines whilst Implementing and managing QA processes, overseeing testing phases to verify functionalities, and ensuring that quality standards are met.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, clients, and external vendors, providing delivery progress updates, addressing risks, and facilitating resolutions. You will ensure effective communication and collaboration within the Team, with Software Engineering and Workflow Solutions teams, as well as across other departments. You will provide mentorship and guidance to the Technical Program Managers, Digital and Reliability Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Youll also establish and maintain a documentation and communication framework to support information sharing.
To be successful in this role, you should have a background in technical product or program management, with proven experience managing programs across functional teams, establishing processes, and coordinating deliveries. A strong understanding of sports production as it relates to cloud and digital platforms, including knowledge of live and non-live workflows, timelines, and common challenges in digital content delivery is crucial, as is a strong understanding of digital audio/video fundamentals, including compression technologies, distribution formats, and associated technologies. Experience managing RFPs, contracts, as well as managing budgets and forecasting is also important.
The role can be based from London or Paris with the requirement of 3 days a week in the office, and requires the ability to travel and stay away for elongated periods of time for major events.
