Graphic Designer & Creative Content Coordinator (Part Time, Six Months)
Tinderbox Theatre Company is looking for a talented Graphic Designer and Creative Content Coordinator to join their team. Funded by Art Work Fund. This role is perfect for someone seeking part-time work while maintaining their freelance projects on the side.
Responsibilities
As the Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the visual identity of the company across all platforms. This role is integral to maintaining the company’s visual voice and ensuring its projects and campaigns resonate with audiences. It requires a proactive, collaborative, and innovative approach to deliver outstanding creative outputs. Working closely with the Creative Producer and Artistic Director, you will ensure all design outputs align seamlessly with the company’s vision.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design & Branding
1. Design and create visually compelling posters for Tinderbox workshops, productions, and events.
2. Develop graphics and templates for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook posts, including design of reel covers, story highlights, and other social media assets to support cohesive campaigns.
3. Assist in creating engaging video content for social platforms.
4. Design show programmes for productions and events.
5. Refresh and enhance the company’s aesthetic to ensure a cohesive visual identity, including company logo, email signatures, banners etc.
6. Establish and maintain a strong, recognisable brand identity for all projects.
Website
1. Redesign and update the company website via Squarespace, ensuring content is current and visually aligned with branding.
Social Media Oversight
1. Coordinate the social media posting schedule, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
2. Assist in creative marketing campaigns to drive audience engagement and growth.
Communication & Administration
1. Create and update branded email signatures for all staff.
2. Collaborate with other departments to provide graphic support for projects, presentations, and events.
PDF Creation
1. Design professional, visually appealing PDFs for schools, businesses, audiences.
Printers
1. Liaise with printers for the production of posters, flyers, and other marketing materials, ensuring quality and deadlines are met.
2. Work closely with the Creative Producer and Artistic Director, attending creative meetings to contribute ideas and align designs with overarching company goals.
Minimum Requirements
1. Proven experience and strong graphic design skills, supported by a portfolio of relevant work.
2. Proven experience in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva etc.
3. Experience in social media content creation, including graphics and video assets.
4. Knowledge of website design and management, particularly with Squarespace.
5. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desired Requirements
1. Some experience in creating and executing marketing campaigns.
Hours:
21 hours per week, spread across three days. Please note there is no overtime pay; however, additional hours worked beyond 21 per week will be compensated with time off in lieu.
Contract Details
Responsible to: Tinderbox Team and Tinderbox Board
Contract: Part-time, commencing February 2025, for a fixed term of six months.
Holidays: 7 days per annum, inclusive of public holidays.
Sick Pay: Statutory sick pay will apply.
Pension: The company operates a staff pension scheme.
Notice Period: Following the probationary period, a notice period of one calendar month will apply for both parties.
Probationary Period: A one month probationary period will apply, during which the contract may be terminated by either party with immediate notice.
