A modern practice based in the affluent area of Havelock North is recruiting for an experienced SA veterinarian to join their team. They offer a full range of services, including onsite Idexx blood testing, digital radiography, dental X-ray and ultrasound.
You would be joining a team of 3 full-time vets, 2 part-time vets, and 9 vet nurses. One of the few independent clinics left, they are happy to create a role for you with part-time and full-time on offer. Build a role around your lifestyle.
This isn’t a practice that cuts corners they have a team of experienced vets and nurses working in a relaxed, friendly environment together, doing what is right for the patient and practice
You can expect a varied caseload with a good mix of consults and surgery, owning your cases, and seeing them through. No production line consults here, 15 minutes are standard with extra for more complicated cases
They don’t believe in working their team into the ground, they want you rested and refreshed so you can be at your best.
So, it is 7.5 hours a day, an hour for lunch with time blocked off in your diary for your own hospital patients and phone calls/procedures.
This position includes rostered weekend (1in4 to 1in5) and on-call work. After-hours services are shared between ourselves and two other local clinics.
They recognise part of coming to NZ is to travel and see NZ, Australia, and the South Pacific so they will endeavour to be flexible and accommodating with time off. How many practices can say this?
So, what’s in it for you? S $90-130k NZD Negotiable, DOE. All vet fees paid for and vets receive ½ any professional fees charged. (consult, surgery time etc) on after-hours work. They will also look at helping with airfares for the right candidate.
