Are you ready to take on a vital role in supporting the operations of a UK CAA-approved Part 145 maintenance organisation maintaining Business Jets? We are seeking a motivated and organised Stores and Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow within the aviation industry, with training provided in stores and purchasing.
About the Role
You will work closely with our experienced Stores Manager to learn all aspects of managing our stores and purchasing. Once trained, you will take on greater responsibility, including running the department during the Stores Manager’s maternity leave. Upon her return, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the stores.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of aircraft parts in compliance with regulations and company procedures.
2. Coordinating and managing the procurement of parts, tools, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations to our Business Jet operation.
3. Maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levels.
4. Preparing and maintaining documentation in line with regulatory and company requirements.
5. Supporting and improving processes to ensure the efficient operation of the stores and purchasing functions.
6. Running the stores and purchasing during the Stores Manager’s maternity leave.
What We’re Looking For
1. Experience: Previous experience in a stores, purchasing, or inventory management role is advantageous but not essential.
2. Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and IT skills are a must. Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
3. Knowledge: Basic understanding of Part 145 regulations is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
4. Attitude: A self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and take on responsibility as needed.
5. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt and grow within a dynamic aviation environment.
