Audit Manager - Steyning, Sussex
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week with flexible working
Holiday: 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 28 days)
About the Audit Manager role

You will be responsible for managing client audit engagements across a wide variety of sectors including charities, independent schools and owner managed businesses, including groups and consolidated accounts. You will lead planning (including client meetings), review of audit files and statutory accounts as well as supervising and supporting colleagues.
Key responsibilities of an Audit Manager will include:
1. Perform audits of larger, complex audit clients and/or work on more complex technical audit matters with the audit partner.
2. Apply risk focus, professional scepticism and judgment to deliver robust, efficient audits.
3. Identify, research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose solutions.
4. Work closely with, and provide pro-active support to the partners.
5. Manage and prioritise own work and assignments to deadlines and budget.
6. Maintain audit quality standards as required by Audit Regulations and TC internal policies.
7. Pro-active dedication to professional growth through training and experience opportunities.
8. Deliver excellent client service.
9. Build relationships with clients and related third parties.
10. Support the growth of the Sussex office.
About you:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
1. Qualified ACA or ACCA or Finalist.
2. Minimum 3-4 years relevant accountancy practice experience.
3. Significant client facing audit experience, including group audits.
4. Excellent technical accounting knowledge and auditing skills.
5. Experience of using audit software and statutory accounts software.
6. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills as a minimum.
7. Highly personable with excellent communication skills.
8. Ability to build rapport and establish relationships at all levels.
9. Positive 'can do' attitude.
10. Must have own car and full driving licence.
