We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laminator Fitter to join our production team. This role is essential in ensuring that our composite products are constructed to the highest standards of quality and durability. Job Description: The Laminator Fitter is responsible for the assembly, fitting, and bonding of composite materials to create strong, lightweight structures. This role involves working with various materials such as carbon fibre, and resin to manufacture components that meet precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in laminating processes and a strong eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Prepare moulds and work surfaces by cleaning and applying release agents. Cut, lay-up, and fit composite materials, such as carbon fibre, according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Apply resin and other bonding agents to composite materials, ensuring even distribution and proper adhesion. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to assemble and fit composite components. Inspect laminated parts for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances. Trim, sand, and finish laminated components to meet specified dimensions and surface finishes. Work closely with production team leaders and quality control to ensure all parts meet the required specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols. Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of laminating tools and equipment. Requirements: Previous experience in laminating, fitting, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of composite materials and laminating techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in laminating and fitting processes. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and handling materials safely.
