IT Support Assistant
We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Assistant to join our IT team.
As an IT Support Assistant you’ll be the first point of contact for IT queries, helping to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. You’ll provide essential operational IT, data and multi-media support, and will work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers to source, prepare, track and maintain IT equipment for the company (including, for example, set up of new joiners). You will be passionate about delivering an excellent service to a range of stakeholders, promoting best practice, new technologies and use initiative to suggest and support roll out of system improvements.
As part of our IT team, you’ll work collaboratively with stakeholders and will support the Head of IT in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional user experiences. Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring the shared helpdesk inbox, addressing ICT, data, and social media inquiries.
* Respond promptly to IT support requests via phone, email, or in person.
* Assist the Head of ICT with administration, testing, and roll-out of new technical projects.
* Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and network issues.
* Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment, including laptops, printers, and phones.
* Assist with system updates, and data backups.
* Maintain IT documentation, user guides and asset registers.
* Provide support to staff on software and hardware usage.
* Create and publish web, intranet, and social media content.
* Support with ad-hoc projects such as automation projects, and new system testing and implementation.
Qualifications, skills & experience:
* A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
* Analytically minded with a strong interest in IT and technology
* Good technical knowledge of Microsoft systems, Android and other key operating systems
* An understanding of app technology and multi-media platforms.
* Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced service focused environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software.
* Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good organisation and project management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deliverables.
* Committed to delivering exceptional IT services, excellent client and care interpersonal skills - able to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders including clients, colleagues, suppliers.
Working Arrangements:
* Full-time, permanent (36 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
* Office based.
* Location: Dagenham.
* £25, per annum starting salary
