For further information on this role, please see the attached detailed Job Description and Person Specification: To provide support and counselling for patients undergoing targeted radiotherapy. To ensure that skill and competency levels are maintained in the following: Venepuncture, Cannulation in accordance with Trust policy. To provide advice and guidance to other disciplines on the care of patients following Diagnostic Imaging procedures and targeted radionuclide therapy To be responsible for ensuring that the safe administration of medicines in the department is in accordance with Medicines Management policies and procedures and production of group protocols as required. Undertake patient assessment and ensure baseline investigations have been performed prior to targeted radionuclide therapy administration To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation relating to procedures undertaken in the Diagnostic Imaging Dept. and ensure safe radionuclide / pharmaceutical administration techniques are applied To provide a relationship that promotes trust, advocacy and empowers patients to make informed decisions regarding their treatment plan. To provide support and counselling for patients and carers from the time of referral throughout their whole treatment plan.
