Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to all Company Safety Policies and the Company Code of Conduct.
2. Operate power equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and front-end loaders to excavate or move dirt, rock, sand, gravel, and other materials.
3. Exercise proper care, maintenance, and operation of company equipment.
4. Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading.
5. Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging.
6. Maintain trenching and shoring standards to ensure proper safety standards are met.
7. Regularly inspect and maintain equipment as required.
8. Drive machine to workplace, lift and move materials and objects, and operate according to signals from others.
9. Digs, spreads and levels dirt, gravel, or sand; and mixes, pours, and spreads concrete and asphalt using hand tools.
10. Perform a variety of machine and non-machine tasks such as removing forms, placing pipe in trench, jack hammering, and tapping.
11. Perform miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required.
Hiring Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience.
2. 2+ years of previous general labor construction experience.
3. MA Hoisting license, or other applicable state license.
4. Ability to read and write English.
5. OSHA 10 Construction Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
6. Ability to pass appropriate written tasks and associated Operator Qualification tests.
7. Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card. Must pass a drug screen (including for marijuana).
8. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
