We are looking for an experienced learning developer, who will use their in-depth knowledge of creating engaging digital learning interventions, to breathe life into a broad mix of content.
Responsibilities
You will apply instructional design theories and practice to create and combine face-to-face and online training sessions, designing impactful and interactive learning experiences to meet business needs. You will develop and produce high quality learning resources (e.g. handouts, training packs, interactive resources, quizzes, digital narratives, screen-capture tutorials, etc.) for use as part of a blended solution within the organisations learning management system (LMS).
The post holder will work in partnership with internal colleagues (subject matter experts) and/or research externally to design and develop digital content and materials, e-learning courses, and assessments to a high professional standard. You will take a proactive role in the design, creation, and support of new e-learning interventions to meet the training needs within the business.
Your role will contribute to meeting the needs of the Progress workforce and foster carers, maintaining their knowledge and skills in line with regulatory and organisational expectations and standards.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will have an in-depth knowledge of the role of technology in learning, a sound knowledge and understanding of e-learning design principles and learning theory, along with a keen eye for detail.
You will be experienced in creating engaging and effective e-learning (SCORM & HTML 5) and online content and using tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Creative Cloud, Captivate and Camtasia.
Crucial to your success will be good interpersonal skills allowing you to work with a variety of stakeholders and adaptability to be able to adjust to changing priorities, along with excellent project management skills to meet objectives on time and drive key indicators for organisational success.
In addition, first-hand experience gained within an organisation that supports children and young adults with disabilities or similar social care settings would be an advantage.
You will be responsible for the coordination and administration of courses and online programmes and aiding the ongoing embedding of learning. You will be passionate about supporting learners with a positive and engaging learning experience and their use of our online Learning Management System (Totara). You will also support managers in the monitoring of training activity and completion rates for their teams.
You will contribute to the day-to-day administration of Learning & Development such as responding to emails in the shared mailbox, processing bookings and invoices, and providing support to the business.
