Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Cowes. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £50,000, dependent on skills and experiences
What you’ll be doing:
1. Defines the qualification obligations for the assurance hold points during build, test & commissioning, and provides assurance to the Design Authority as to the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
2. Identifies and closes issues emerging from product lifecycle stages and manages the resulting change embodiment activities.
3. Undertakes peer reviews or checking verification of tasks as directed.
4. Developing and validating thermal models to predict product performance under various operating conditions.
5. Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to optimize the thermal design of radar components and subsystems.
Your skills and experiences:
1. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and or proven experience.
2. Strong understanding of heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
3. Experience in designing and testing thermal systems for electronic components and assemblies.
