We’re InLife, a not-for-profit disability support provider that specializes in working with people with frequent and complex support needs, including 24/7 assistance. We build teams around every client, depending on each person’s needs and preferences. We partner with people with any type of disability who want to live independently in the community.
To do a great job, you’ll need:
* Good judgement and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn and a commitment to our values
* A bubbly and engaging personality, as clients are highly social and love to have a good chat
* To be comfortable supporting clients with pet care
* Experience in mental health - Qualification in mental health preferred but not necessary
* Experience with complex behaviors of concern
* Experience supporting people with a physical disability, including transfers/use of equipment and confident in hoisting
* Great patience and willingness to build rapport with clients
* Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities
* Ability to take initiative and encourage clients to work towards their goals
* Access to a car and a driver's license - Comfortable supporting clients in the community
* Commitment to working with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals
