Up to £50,000 DOE Hertfordshire We are working with a leading brand within beauty, gift, bath & body that creates products for globally renowned clients, including Boots, John Lewis, and other well-known retailers. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a talented Senior Product Developer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong product development experience in the wholesale sector to join a company with a supportive culture and a creative team. You will have a strong creative and commercial eye and experience developing market-leading, innovative products. Managing the full product lifecycle, you will be proactive, an excellent project manager, and comfortable working with global suppliers while managing the critical path. Responsibilities in this Senior Product Developer role include: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and new product development opportunities. Create complete new product ranges and concept briefs for the graphic design team. Collaborate with the Sales team to obtain and analyse sales figures, influencing decisions on new product launch plans. Manage product development timelines, ensuring projects meet key stakeholder expectations. Work with suppliers on product costings and negotiations across all categories and brands. Maximise profit margins through cost negotiations and efficient sourcing. Manage and grow supplier relationships while identifying and establishing new ones. Conduct sample assessments on new products to ensure they meet quality and compliance standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, sales, operations, and compliance. Prepare customer-facing product presentations to pitch new concepts and showcase the brand. Work with the design team to prepare marketing materials for trade shows and e-commerce platforms. Manage PD trackers to ensure on-time, in-full execution of projects. Skills and experience required: Strong product development experience working in bath & body, skincare, cosmetics, gifting, or similar categories. 3 years of experience within product development and at least 1 year within the beauty sector. Proven experience working with the Far East and managing global suppliers. Experience working with briefs from major/key account retailers is highly advantageous. High level of commercial awareness, creativity, and trend awareness. Impeccable organisation skills and excellent attention to detail. A proactive and driven approach, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Excellent relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal teams.
