A bit about the job: Reporting into the UKGI Financial Reporting Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team focused on Solvency II reporting. This team will ensure compliance with internal policies, requirements of quarterly reporting templates (QRTs) & National Specific Templates (NSTs), industry best practices and support the organization's overall goals and objectives. You will build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across GI finance, the wider Aviva Group and external audit. You will provide analysis to support market CFOs in understanding their Solvency II results, including the impact of complex transactions, and support their regulatory sign-offs. You will join a leadership team of 4 senior managers and the UKGI Financial Reporting Lead, and make a strong contribution to a well rounded, high performing and caring team culture, providing development opportunities to team members and shaping career development within the team. You will look to identify and deliver process improvements in the financial reporting process, working with other finance teams and project workstreams to make processes more automated and sustainable. You will play a significant role in the development and delivery of key finance projects which are deemed to provide strategic value to the finance function and Aviva overall. Skills and experience we're looking for: Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualified experience. Insurance and Solvency II experience is essential. Strong understanding of financial reporting requirements, including technical Solvency II knowledge but also Risk & Control requirements. The ability to lead team members, prioritise team workload, display resilience and energise the team under pressure. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including report writing and the ability to present to senior management.
