Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity; we are looking for a Site Service Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for managing the utilities and facilities that keep our operation running like clockwork.
A Day in the Life of a Site Services Engineer
Reporting into the Site Service Manager, you will be part of a committed team, responsible for ensuring industrial services management and operation, and to ensure optimal cost, highly efficient, quality and sustained generation and distribution of utilities for the factory operation, i.e. steam, refrigeration, water and effluent treatment, hygienic air handling, odour abatement systems, and compressed air.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure that maintenance tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner.
2. Ensure that personnel management of contractors brought to site to undertake maintenance tasks are qualified, competent, and compliant.
3. Support operation of industrial services to ensure high efficiency, quality, and compliance.
4. Assist in the budgeting and cost monitoring of industrial services.
5. Drive improvements focused on energy and water saving opportunities.
6. Manage quality, environmental and internal and external compliance requirements for industrial services.
7. Participate in projects from design to installation and sustain of industrial assets.
8. Deliver building fabric improvements in line with the site improvement plan.
9. Assist in managing main facilities onsite to ensure compliant and functional.
What Will Make You Successful
We are looking for someone who has practical experience working in an industrial/facilities environment, it could be as a gas engineer or onboard a large ship or from a manufacturing environment.
We are also looking for:
1. A good grounding in at least one industrial services engineering discipline.
2. A relevant education in Engineering, HNC/Degree/Diploma, e.g. Mechanical or Electrical, or substantial equivalent experience.
3. Experience with refrigeration plants would be ideal.
4. Knowledge of local regulatory and statutory requirements regarding industrial services and environment.
5. Knowledge of TPM methodology would be beneficial.
