Job Description: Technical Consultant required to join a Large International client based in central London.
The chosen candidate will be required to provide ad hoc advice on technical matters regarding the use of IT technologies to support business processes.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, trustworthy team player with customer-oriented skills, a proactive approach to tackle problems and provide solutions.
Objectives of the role:
* Investigating, analysing and resolving errors and problems, including liaison with relevant vendor technical support.
* Assistance with web and application design, development, and implementation best practices.
* Support for testing and deployment of Java applications.
* Writing and reviewing LDIF scripts to search or modify custom LDAP schemas.
* Application of software patches and upgrades.
* Design, implementation, and monitoring of security policies.
* Working in an environment with technical teams comprised of developers, testers, analysts, and system administrators.
* Summarising and presenting key technical issues to relevant stakeholders (peers, architects, analysts, testers, management, and business users) considering the background of the audience.
* Interacting at executive, team, and business levels.
* Liaising with different technical teams, such as system administrators, testers, and application support, understanding their requirements.
Essential Requirements:
* Years of relevant IT experience: Minimum of 6 years mandatory.
* In the domain of Oracle WebLogic server administration: experience of minimum 4 years (mandatory).
Desirable Skills:
* In the domain of middleware administration (Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Single Sign-On/Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle HTTP and WebCache, and Adobe LiveCycle servers): 2 years plus.
* In the domain of Oracle Enterprise Service Bus administration: 1-2 years’ experience.
* Experience working in the public/pharmaceutical sector.
Education and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
* Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Oracle WebLogic Server Certification, Oracle Internet Directory Certification, Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation 10 Certified Implementation Specialist) are very desirable.
