Wehave an exciting opportunity to join our Maintenance team at The Fife ArmsHotel, Braemar, as a Maintenance Assistant working closely with our PropertyManager and team.
As a Maintenance Assistant you will be responsible forensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard. Areasinclude guest bedrooms, bathrooms, associated areas, as well as staffaccommodation.
As a MaintenanceAssistant, you will be responsible for:
1. Carrying out maintenance on all hotel fixturesand fittings to ensure that they are in safe condition and action is taken whenany unsafe situations arise.
2. Carrying out maintenance tasks includingjoinery, plumbing, electrics, painting and decorating according to the dailytask list.
3. Carrying out maintenance of the staffaccommodation internally and externally according to the daily task list.
4. Ensuring compliance with Environment, Health,Safety, Security and Fire & Bomb Policies and Procedures.
5. Performing daily maintenance, fire safety andsecurity checks around the hotel.
6. Supporting the Property Manager by supervisingany external contractors on site, as required.
7. Ensuring that good relationships are built andmaintained with internal and external customers.
8. Supporting the implementation, and directionof all emergency programmes.
9. Supporting the implementation and managementof energy conservation programmes for the property to minimize expenses and reduce environmental impact.
Expectations
Our successful Maintenance Assistant willhave:
10. Proven experience in property maintenance or related field, preferably in a similar luxury hospitality environment.
11. Technical knowledge and skill in painting and decorating, joinery, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
12. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
13. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
14. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
15. A thorough understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH.
16. A willingness to work to the high standards that are demanded from a luxury establishment.
