Title: Temporary Works Design Engineer
Location: Rugby (Hybrid)
Salary: 45-55,000 + car allowance + package
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join a leading civil engineering main contractor delivering high profile infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.
The Temporary Works Design Engineer will join an experienced team and will play a critical role in designing and managing temporary works for a range of exciting projects. They will ensure that all temporary works structures are safe, efficient and compliant with industry standards.
They will be a key member of the core team specializing in complex schemes including highways, bridges, tunnels and railway infrastructure projects.
Candidate
1. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Chartered status or working towards Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE preferred).
3. Proven experience in temporary works design within the civil engineering or construction sector.
4. Strong knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., BS5975).
5. Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or similar.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
