Remit:
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for maximizing machinery output and minimise plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment and promoting good engineering practice
Successful candidates will have a technical understating of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems for planning and troubleshooting, within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
Attend breakdowns, identify faults and problem solve with minimum downtime to production
Installing new production equipment
Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment
Inspecting and assessing the functionality of production machines
Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
Maintaining statistical records
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
Preparing and submitting maintenance reports
Managing stocks of supplies and equipment.
Ensure that the business always maintains occupational health and safety standards along with ISO14001 Environmental requirements.
Experience Requirements:
Technical understating of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems for planning and troubleshooting.
A background in injection moulding manufacturing or the plastics industry would be desirable but not essential
Proficiency operating modern maintenance technology.
Good verbal communication skills for scheduling maintenance tasks and ensuring job completion, even during emergencies.
Strong organisational skills for scheduling maintenance tasks as per maintenance schedule ensuring tasks are not overlooked and that minor site issues do not become major site issues.
