The Opportunity This is no ordinary executive search role. As an Executive Search Consultant at TWYD & Co, you’ll have the chance to work with some of the UK’s most inspiring family businesses, identifying and placing leaders who understand the delicate balance of performance, legacy, and culture. You’ll manage search assignments from start to finish—building relationships with clients, designing bespoke search strategies, and delivering outcomes that align with their business and family priorities. While the role is primarily remote, regular in-person meetings with clients and the Managing Partner are an important part of how we work. What You’ll Be Doing Client Engagement & Business Development Building trust : Develop meaningful relationships with family business leaders, taking the time to understand their goals, values, and challenges. Tailoring solutions : Conduct in-depth consultations to ensure every search aligns with the client’s strategic and cultural needs. Winning opportunities : Proactively identify new search assignments through networking, referrals, and outreach. Search Delivery Designing the process : Develop customised search strategies, including market mapping, candidate profiles, and role specifications that reflect the specific needs of family businesses. Finding exceptional talent : Use your network, advanced research techniques, and platforms like LinkedIn to identify and approach high-calibre candidates. Assessing candidates : Conduct detailed interviews to evaluate technical skills, cultural alignment, and fit with the client’s objectives. Managing expectations : Act as a trusted advisor, guiding both clients and candidates through the process with professionalism and care. Advisory & Support Guiding families : Offer advice on succession planning, integrating non-family executives, and supporting next-generation leaders. Providing insights : Prepare detailed candidate profiles, progress updates, and tailored recommendations. Supporting integration : Help clients create onboarding plans that set leaders up for success within the family business. About You This role is ideal for someone who: Knows executive search : You have at least 3–5 years of experience managing end-to-end search assignments, ideally with exposure to family businesses or purpose-driven organisations. Understands family businesses : You appreciate the unique challenges and opportunities they present and know how to approach them thoughtfully. Builds relationships with ease : You’re skilled at connecting with people at all levels and earning trust. Delivers results : You’re highly organised, driven, and have a proven track record of successfully completing search assignments. Communicates with confidence : You can explain complex ideas clearly and persuasively, both in writing and in person. Takes ownership : You’re proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects independently. What We’d Love to See A strong network within family businesses and SMEs. Experience working with international clients or candidates. Familiarity with psychometric assessments or other evaluation tools.
