Job Description
As a result of a number of project wins, particularly in the Healthcare sector, we are looking to strengthen our teams in both Manchester and Leeds.
Job Responsibilities will include:
1. Reporting to the Associate Team Leader and being responsible for the mechanical design.
2. Providing specialised technical input to studies and design to assist in the development of junior and graduate engineers.
3. Participate and engage in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
4. Participating in quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
5. Preparing technical specification sections.
6. Providing input to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet requirements.
7. Having a good understanding of software packages used to design mechanical building services systems.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Successful track record of mechanical building services design.
2. A highly motivated individual with a passion for succeeding and developing.
3. Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) with strong negotiation skills.
4. Working towards membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIBSE.
5. Good understanding of software packages used to design mechanical building services systems.
6. Experience in delivering projects using BIM software packages.
7. Experience of low carbon systems, design and how to influence the built environment to reduce carbon emissions.
8. The ability to understand IES or other calculation packages.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Working towards membership of a relevant professional body such as CIBSE.
