Job Title: SEN Teacher Location: Christchurch Pay Rate: £30,000 - £46,525 (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience) Start Date: January Contract: Full Time/Permanent Role Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of students with SEN. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality education, ensuring each student achieves their full potential. Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For: Craft and implement lesson plans that accommodate the varying abilities and learning styles of SEN students. Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, employing effective behaviour management techniques to support student engagement and learning. Work closely with parents, colleagues and external professionals to develop and implement effective support plans tailored to each student’s needs. Stay abreast of the latest educational practices and SEN strategies, engaging in continuous professional development to enhance your teaching efficacy. The Successful Candidate Will: Have a specialised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent). Proven experience as an SEN Teacher within an SEN-based educational setting. Strong understanding of SEN best practices, strategies and current legislation. Have an understanding and compassionate approach to helping the students in an inclusive learning environment. Possess a comprehensive understanding of special educational needs and effective teaching methodologies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
