You will lead on major initiatives within Central Services and contribute to the development of the architecture, strategy and roadmaps of products and platforms. In Technology, Bank of England (BoE) support a large diverse set of technical solutions and platforms to deliver services to both the Bank and external users. These include critical systems and services that underpin the UK economy, financial supervision, evolving data analytics, collaboration and research. In this role you will be responsible for leading a number of programmes including on-prem to Azure migrations whilst implementing Microsoft offerings such as M365, Dynamics, SharePoint Online. and Power Platforms. You must be a critical thinker, with ability to research and provide summarised results/recommendations whilst being able to prioritise your work, anticipate problems and meet deadlines. Key Responsibilities As a senior member of the Team, you will be: Taking a leading role on programmes and projects, understanding business imperatives and developing solutions that deliver against the requirements aligned to business and technology strategies Contributing to moving the organisation from E3 to E5 Responsible for crafting and producing architectural artefacts for end-to-end solutions, baseline and target architectures, solution blueprints, including high-level design that are aligned to architecture standards, principles and patterns A technology ambassador, representing architecture and technology at governance forums and being an advocate for the solutions, strategies and roadmaps produced by the team Responsible for contributing to the development and maintenance of the architecture building blocks, architecture repository and continuous improvement initiatives. Helping to improve architecture processes and mentor junior architects within the team Essential Skills Experience of document and records management systems and their implementations Extensive experience of the Microsoft offerings especially with regards to; M365, Dynamics, SharePoint Online, Power Platforms and moving organisations from E3 to E5 Experience in communication and collaboration systems and their implementations Experience of Azure Cloud implementations and considerations for on-premise V cloud hosted Experience of Productivity and Automation tools and offerings Experience with different methodologies e.g. agile and/or waterfall environment, proof of concepts and prototyping Experience with sophisticated large scale data and analytics solutions including design of data lifecycle capabilities Experience with different database technologies (eg. SQL, NoSQL / time series etc) Desirable Skills Knowledge and exposure of financial regulation / financial services and FTSE 100 organisation Experience of MS Copilots and other related generative AI capabilities Experience working with architectural methodologies and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman) and experience in architecture modelling tools Awareness of industry trends across wider technology e.g. RegTech, Cloud, Big data & Analytics, and Cyber security etc. Benefits This specific role offers a base salary of £78,310 - £90,360 London based and £70,501 - £81,360 Leeds based per-annum on full-time basis.
