Job summary
The Clinical Haematology department is looking for an enthusiastic and efficient team medical secretary to be responsible for all aspects of secretarial work. This includes clinic typing using Winscribe, appointment making using PAS, as well as diary and clinic management. You will work with the rest of the team to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the consultant haematologists and nursing team.

Main duties of the job
A high standard of general education and key board skills are essential, with the ability to work on your own. Some knowledge of NHS databases and experience of working with Winscribe would be advantageous although training will be given.
You will need to be very organised and used to working without supervision, with an excellent telephone manner and ability to prioritise your workload. Some occasional cross department secretarial cover may be required.
