Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical installations and associated systems - Organise resources, including labour, materials, and transportation to ensure tasks are completed efficiently - Ensure high standards of workmanship and keep detailed service records - Report defects in plant, equipment and building fabric promptly - Supervise trade staff when necessary and provide guidance on technical matters. - Participate in planned preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment remains in optimal condition. - Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and follow all safety protocols - Operate the Estates/Facilities management system, including completing job records and timesheets. - Liaise with ward and department managers to arrange access for maintenance tasks and minimal disruption - Ensure personal development through training, keeping up to date with new techniques and regulations. Working Environment: - Exposure to heat, noise, chemicals, body fluids, and sewage. - Moderate to heavy physical work, including lifting and working at heights - Frequent concentration needed for fault-finding and interpreting drawings. - Adherence to infection control protocols when working in clinical areas. - Shift working and responding to failures/breakdowns as part of an on-call rota
