Head of PSHCE Competitive salary Full time, permanent Start date: 3rd September 2025 We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head of PSHCE to join the School and lead our Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education department. Reporting to the Pastoral Deputy Head, this position requires the post holder to work closely with the Heads of Year, and Assistant Heads, encouraging enthusiasm and commitment and ensuring that the programme is delivered effectively each year. The Head of PSHCE will develop and coordinate the PSHCE programme for all years in the school. Working across Year 7 to 11, and liaising with the Director of Sixth Form, to ensure the Life Skills programme complements the PSHCE programme and meets statutory expectations. The role requires the need to liaise with the Deputy Head, Assistant Heads, Heads of Year, E Safety Coordinator, Form Tutors and students to review the provision, gain feedback, and update the programme as appropriate. The successful candidate will also support the PSHCE tutors, and other staff, with visiting speakers, planning and organising the smooth delivery of any special PSHCE sessions e.g. Anti Bullying Week. They will oversee the PSHCE budget, ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and be committed to safeguarding children and young people. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motivate students, relate effectively to colleagues, students, and parents, and use strategies that support the School’s policies and procedures. They should have good organisational and time management skills, knowledge of effective monitoring systems, and a commitment to the aims, ethos, and objectives of the department and the School.
