Job Overview
This new Sustainability & Talent Manager will form one of two manager positions, reporting to the Senior Policy, Governance, and Talent Manager, responsible for managing all activities across the team. This person will play a pivotal role in driving the sustainability aspects within our supply chain and support the procurement function with training & developing the team.
1. To establish and run a Centre of Excellence to drive Supply Chain Sustainability expectations across our Supply Chain.
2. Lead all Supply Chain Sustainability and Risk reporting needs.
3. Champion Southern Water's approach to Social Value and Procurement Ethics within the Supply Chain.
4. Establish and maintain a skills capability baseline e.g. Skills Matrix.
5. Review and identify all talent development requirements / opportunities for the function.
6. Coordinate and update a catalogue of training activities relevant to all areas of the Skills Matrix.
7. Coordinate all annual talent reviews, setting of annual objectives, periodic performance review requirements.
About You
1. Excellent communication skills - including verbal, written and presenting to a group.
2. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
3. Commercial awareness and excellent analytical, planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to influence decision makers and drive change in behaviour of others.
5. Excellent knowledge and application of process management, analysis and improvement techniques.
6. Strong experience working in a Procurement organisation, specifically in compliance; ideally within a regulated environment (e.g. UCR).
7. Strong experience providing guidance on governance within a legislative framework, including risk management.
8. Strong experience developing governance frameworks/policies/processes and assessing adherence.
Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington office and home. We are offering a salary of circa £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:
