Job Purpose: Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for the quality control/inspection of all meal products. They will work closely with the technical teams and operations staff to drive product quality, consistency, and document accuracy. Full training will be given for the role.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that all parts of the manufacturing process are under control regarding the production of safe food, as required by current food safety legislation, business SOPs, certificated processes, and customer requirements.
2. Ensure that all checks and controls are recorded correctly as dictated by the Quality Manual as part of the positive release system.
3. Maintain site hygiene standards at the correct level for safe food production.
4. Attend to any tasks as required by the department or to meet the standards required by the company.
5. Conduct all daily, weekly, and monthly checks such as Product Quality Checks, Metal Detection Checks, Microbiological, Water Analysis, Glass/Perspex Audits, and Good Manufacturing Practice Audits to pre-determined schedules.
6. Support and collate information concerning any action required by enforcement authorities.
7. Demonstrate good numerical skills.
8. Exhibit good communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Be self-motivated and proactive.
10. Identify potential issues or risks.
11. Possess good PC skills and a working knowledge of word packages.
