Area Business Manager – Wound Care

National Sales Manager
Main Purpose of Role
To sell the range of GBUK Group's Wound Care products (Advanced and General), in accordance with the business plan agreed with the National Sales Manager. Meet and exceed financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances GBUK Group's reputation in the market. Focused on primary care, community and NHS hospitals, you’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Procurement and Category Leads, Tissue Viability Nurses and Theatre Teams. Navigating complex care pathways to ensure product adoption and ongoing success.
Main Tasks/Responsibilities
1. Achieves sales targets
2. Identify opportunities with existing and new primary care, community and NHS Hospital departments
3. Become a Trusted Advisor to Tissue Viability Nurses and Key Opinion Leaders alike.
4. Analyse the market place, develop an effective territory/account sales strategy
5. Perform all activities to maximize sales (in line with the sales strategy) from product introduction, presentation and evaluation to closing and contract negotiation
6. Manage product mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
7. Use customer and prospect contact tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
8. Arrange regular meetings with key stakeholders, whilst onsite using this as an opportunity to drop in on potential customers to arrange further meetings.
9. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
10. Be responsive to and provide excellent customer service to GBUK Group's customers.
11. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
12. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings
13. Maintain and acquire new product, technology, market, sales tool and process knowledge
14. Identify and address all key decision makers (clinical, administrative/economic) key opinion leaders and key referrals in all accounts.
15. Build strong and lasting business relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process
16. Attend and participate in key professional congresses and events as required
17. Demonstrate high performing behaviours both internally and externally
Internal and Administrative
1. Report all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete and timely fashion
2. Plan and prepare sales forecasts by account, product and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments
3. Carry out all administrative duties and all necessary reports in a timely and diligent manner
4. Attend all required regional and national meetings
Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential:
1. Extensive knowledge of Drug Tariff and Formulary landscape
2. Degree or equivalent in Life-science, Nursing, Engineering, Business or relevant subject
3. Demonstrate success in obtaining formulary inclusions and product adoption
4. Thorough knowledge of wound care and tissue viability needs and solutions
5. At least 5 years’ commercial sales experience or strong clinical background with an aptitude for learning the sales process
6. Understanding of the NHS competitive marketplace and decision-making process
7. Motivated to learn new things

9. Full drivers’ license and access to car
10. Fluent in English
11. Highly competent with Excel
