Currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in Civil Engineering to join my clients new regional office based in Tadcaster on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for civil engineering projects.
* Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to determine project viability.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost control and project delivery.
* Monitor and manage project costs, including materials, labour, and equipment.
* Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
* Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
* Maintain accurate records of project costs and financial transactions.
* Prepare and present regular reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering industry.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
* Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus.
