Job Description
Outstanding Finance Controller/Finance Director opportunity with a £25m t/o rapidly expanding (40% annual growth) e-Commerce/FMCG business based in the Merseyside area. Reporting directly to the MD and heading a small finance team, your remit will include:
* Finance Business Partner to the senior management team and budget holders.
* Overseeing the Finance Manager and 2 Accounts Assistants.
* Preparation and presentation of management accounts and financial statements to the board.
* Development of a modern and sophisticated MI reporting suite to provide a timely and accurate overview of the business and its costs and revenue streams.
* Budgeting & Forecasting.
* Variance analysis and commentary.
* Year End Accounts.
* Coordinating with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and efficient audits.
* Developing financial controls and procedures to meet the evolving demands so the business.
* Financial Modelling to assess the performance of various product lines and geographical markets.
* Developing financial reporting to include international markets as the business expands globally.
* Supporting Merger and Acquisition opportunities.
* Supporting strategic business decisions to ensure optimum profitability and long-term growth.
Applicants should be fully qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA professionals with previous experience as a number 1 in finance for a fast-paced e-commerce business or similar (Marketing/FMCG/Consumer Retail). You will have the personality and gravitas to forge strong relationships across all levels to board level and will thrive in a fast-paced SME environment, where everyone is hands on and works in collaboration to achieve the best results. An annual salary to £75k (possibly a little flexibility depending on experience) is complemented with benefits including Bonus, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing by one per year to a maximum of 30, Pension 5%/5%, Hybrid Working (4 days office / 1 day home), and an excellent working environment and culture.
