Care Assistant (Dayshift) Care and Support
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Ardenlee Care Home. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the values and ethos of our home.
Our residents enjoy stunning views of the sea, woodland, and gardens, and we strive to provide them with exceptional care and support. You will help our residents maintain their independence, promote their overall health and happiness, and ensure they receive personalized care that meets their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, encourage positive choices, and promote independence.
* Personalized Care: Follow and support each resident's care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents' health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Safety and Comfort: Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, responding quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
About You:
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant or transferable skills.
* Passion: A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
