More likely to be found windswept in wellies at a remote Cornish hillfort than in business suits, the staff at Cornwall Heritage Trust are a fun-loving but passionate team. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment and enthusiasm for Cornwall’s heritage and who can help to move the Trust forwards in its drive for growth, resilience and financial sustainability.
The charity aspires to adding at least one “new” historic site to its care each year; an objective which led to the creation of this role to oversee the acquisition process from start to finish, including a review of work already undertaken to formulate a sites acquisition strategy. It is anticipated that this position will include:
1. Liaison with stakeholders and legal representatives;
2. Responsibility for community consultation;
3. Formulation of management plans;
4. Ensuring seamless integration of new properties into our existing portfolio.
The role will also focus on the development of all of the sites owned or managed by Cornwall Heritage Trust. This will include formulation and implementation of a robust sites management strategy and capital works plan.
The successful applicant will liaise with new and existing external partners to identify development opportunities and mutually beneficial programmes and projects.
