Salary *: £14.54ph plus incentives
Hours: Full time - 7am-7pm 3 x shifts a week to include alternate weekends

A little about Avenue House Nursing and Care Home:
Avenue House is located just outside Rushden. The home’s architecture is modern regency style, which provides the homeliness that Jasmine seeks for its homes, whilst providing modern living accommodation. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care, for 48 residents.

Day to Day Responsibilities for Senior Care Assistant:
* Provide the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living.
* Promote our resident’s independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, alongside promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
* Lead your shift to ensure high standards are maintained, and other members of the team feel supported.
* Complete the daily medication rounds and document consistently without errors.
* Promote good practice in all aspects of care, and challenge poor practice from other team members.
* Ensure one to ones for all care and support team members are done every two months and investigate complaints and concerns as directed by the Home Manager.
Essential Requirements for Senior Care Assistant:
* Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ minimum level 3).
* Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in residential/nursing home setting.
* Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
* Knowledge of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
* Live within 30 minutes of the Home.
Preferred Requirements for Senior Care Assistant:
* Two years’ experience in a similar role in a nursing home.
* At least One year’s experience working in a similar role in a residential or nursing home.
* At least Two years’ experience in a Senior Care role in a residential or nursing home.
* One year experience of caring for residents living with dementia.
* NVQ Level 4 in Adult Health and Social Care or above.
* Knowledge of National Care Standards Act 2000.
* Experience of managing a team.
