Soccer Sensations Teesside is looking for enthusiastic, football-loving referees for our 5-a-side adult leagues. Games take place on Monday and Thursday evenings with kick-off times varying from 18:30 to 21:30.
Referees will officiate the games, which are 25 minutes each way.
No official experience is necessary as full training on our 5-a-side match rules will be given, and a period of shadowing existing referees will be undertaken. An understanding of the game and previous refereeing experience is advantageous.
Qualified referees are welcome, but no experience is required as full training and support will be provided. The most successful referees possess an engaging and personable character to communicate well and maintain well-structured games with punctual timekeeping.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Officiate 5-a-side games, which are 25 minutes each way (50 minutes total).
Qualifications and Skills
1. Experience in refereeing is preferred but not required.
2. A good understanding of football and confidence in managing games.
3. Reliability and good interpersonal skills are essential.
