ABC Teachers are seeking a 1:1 SEMH LSP Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in Blythe Bridge (Stoke-on-Trent) starting as soon as possible. This would be on a full-time basis.
The Role Itself
You will be working 1:1 with a specific pupil, assisting in classrooms and providing interventions while de-escalating stressful situations to help the teacher conduct lessons successfully. This specific school is a happy, caring, and nurturing place where each child is known individually and encouraged to achieve and thrive into confident, caring citizens.
You Must Have
* Effective behaviour management skills.
* Strong adaptability.
* Great communication skills to cater to the specific child.
* A strong passion for learning and creativity.
* Patience, resilience, and reliability.
* Strong interpersonal skills to cater to the specific needs of the pupil.
* Be able to provide 2 solid references covering years’ experience.
* Hold a DBS registered on the update service or must be able to arrange one.
* Must have previous experience working within education or with SEN or a similar environment.
