Network Manager - Cisco
Epsom, Surrey (Hybrid)
Up to £69, per annum (plus benefits)
On behalf of a valued client, I am seeking an experienced and dynamic Network Manager with a strong background in Cisco technologies to lead their growing team. You will be responsible for managing a team of 6 skilled engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of their network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the security, stability, and scalability of our Cisco-based networks.
The organisation operates a hybrid working policy; therefore, you must be committed to being office based up to 3 days per week and within commutable distance of their Epsom offices.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and mentor a team of 6 network engineers, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and long-term network strategy.
2. Oversee the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Cisco-based network solutions, including Switches, Routers, and Firewalls.
3. Collaborate with senior IT leaders and other departments to align network operations with business goals.
4. Ensure the highest levels of network security and uptime, adhering to industry best practices.
5. Develop and maintain network documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies, and procedures.
6. Participate in network planning, capacity management, and optimization efforts.
7. Coordinate network upgrades, patching, and system improvements.
Experience/Skills required:
8. Proven experience in managing and leading a network engineering team.
9. Strong expertise in Cisco technologies (routing, switching, security).
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
11. Solid understanding of network protocols, design, and architecture.
12. Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher) are highly desirable.
13. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate across departments.
14. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network environments is desirable but not essential
15. Familiarity with infrastructure technologies such as virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions is desirable but not essential.
