Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 per year (pro-rata for sessional)
Hours: 36 hours per week, 39 weeks sessional
Juniper Green Primary School is a co-educational non-denominational primary school serving the residents of the Juniper Green, Baberton Mains, and Colinton/Hailes areas of Edinburgh.
The school has excellent educational facilities, including 14 classes and a term-time nursery class. The Headteacher and two Depute Headteachers have teaching commitments.
We are looking for a hard-working individual to join our dynamic nursery staff team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in early years and a commitment to providing high-quality service with enthusiasm and creativity.
The Nursery operates term time only and has a capacity for 64 children. Our staff work collaboratively to provide the right support for every child. The team of Early Years Practitioners, Officers, and Assistants is dedicated to meeting the needs of all pupils, and staff are involved in decision-making processes.
Our nursery pupils enjoy a large open plan playroom, a play activity area, a parents’ room, a good outdoor space, and access to the school wildlife garden for Forest Schools.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
