Teacher of English (part-time, fixed term from January to August 2025)

The Governors wish to appoint a well-qualified, talented, committed and inspiring Teacher of English, part-time 0.4 FTE from January until August 2025 to work Wednesdays and Fridays. The successful candidate must be available to work on Fridays, however other days of the week and hours are negotiable.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
1. High expectations with the ability to inspire and challenge students.
2. Targeted learning resources to support the diverse make-up of the student body.
3. A proven track record of impacting upon students' learning.
4. An ability to teach English at KS3 and KS4.
5. An understanding of current and future curriculum developments.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
7. The attributes to be a strong form tutor.
8. Qualified Teacher Status.
The salary grade is Teachers Main/Upper Pay Scale £30,000 to £46,525. The post would be suitable for either an ECT or an experienced teacher.
