We are currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Learning & Development Assessor to join the team at the Volkswagen National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.
The L&D Assessor enables learners to demonstrate performance of the relevant Volkswagen Group UK assessment standards. They work within the Volkswagen Group UK National Learning Centre, as part of the Commercial Training Team reporting to the Commercial L&D Manager, with a focus on maintaining and improving business performance through the development of partner retailer and approved repairer staff.

Key Responsibilities
* To support learners through the Volkswagen Group UK training, assessment, and certification processes
* To deliver assessment activity – including learner management – in a way that is learner-centric, fair and inclusive.
* To support others with the delivery of assessment activity, including role playing during simulated tasks
* To communicate information about assessment activity – from responsibilities and instructions to feedback and next steps – in an accessible, clear, and easy-to-understand way to provide learners with personalised and constructive feedback from assessment activities, that enables them to make confident and informed decisions
* To maintain accurate records of assessment activity, including updates to the Learning Management System (LMS)
* To develop and maintain assessment activities to ensure assessment criteria, methodologies and outputs remain consistent, fair, reliable and valid for learners and compliant with the relevant Volkswagen Group UK assessment standards
* To work with the Commercial Training Team Assessment Executive and Training Manager to review learner engagement and performance indicators, and take action accordingly to ensure the achievement of assessment delivery KPIs
* To support the Commercial Training Team’s quality assurance and standardisation processes

* Have experience with course competencies and mapping these to assessment requirements

* Have a good knowledge of IT, particularly Learning Management Systems and Microsoft packages
* Organised and good time keeping
* Live within a commutable distance to Milton Keynes

Salary & Benefits
Up to £26,000 dependent on experience, 25 Days Paid Annual Leave. Calex Employee Benefits Package (inc. High Street Discounts, Online GP, Welfare Scheme).
Pre-employment Checks
Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated references, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
Employment
The successful candidate will be employed by Calex UK (www.calexuk.com). Calex are a specialist automotive training provider and provide training staff and expertise including Trainers, Developers, Digital Learning Experts, and Administrators to Volkswagen Group UK. The successful candidate will join an established team, at the VWG National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.
Place of Work
VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes. We currently operate hybrid working with at least 60% of time in the National Learning Centre with the opportunity to work up to 40% remotely. Time spent in the office may change. There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations, e.g. VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role.
