Head of Finance Permanent, 37 hour week 1 day in office, 4 days WFH An opportunity has emerged for a dynamic and strategic finance leader to take on a key role within a growing business. This position offers the chance to shape financial strategy, oversee governance, and drive operational finance within an organisation managing a multi-million pound budget. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight, business support, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Risk Management – Develop and implement a robust financial strategy to support the organisation’s sustainability and growth. Financial Reporting & Compliance – Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring alignment with UK SORP and regulatory standards. Audit & Governance – Lead the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring tax, VAT, and financial governance requirements are met. Leadership & Team Development – Manage and mentor a finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Financial Oversight & Resource Management – Manage funding, grants, and supplier relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and financial control. What You’ll Need Professional Qualification – ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience. Proven Track Record – Experience leading a finance function in a similar-sized organisation. Charity Sector Expertise – Knowledge of charity accounting principles, including UK SORP and compliance requirements. Financial Planning & Business Partnering – Strong analytical skills to provide insight and support senior stakeholders. Leadership & Communication Skills – Experience in managing and developing teams, as well as liaising with internal and external partners.
