About the Roles Both roles provide leadership for the Cloud and Storage Services team within Infrastructure Services. The Team Lead reports to the Head of Platform Services and provides strategic direction, ensuring the team delivers reliable, robust, and secure services. The Deputy Team Lead reports to the Team Lead and shares responsibility for managing team members and services. The team manages key services, including: The University Private Cloud service Secondary Storage (Scality) The HFS (Storage Protect) Backup service The CrashPlan backup service As cloud technology evolves, the team’s scope is expected to expand to include third-party infrastructure services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The postholders will play a leading role in the design, delivery, and management of systems critical to the University. About You You will bring: Proven expertise in leading technical teams, including recruitment, staff development, and performance management. Strong knowledge of IT service management processes and IT systems lifecycle management, from design to implementation and ongoing operations. Strategic thinking in IT service operations, with the ability to align infrastructure strategies with organisational needs and emerging technologies. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences and produce high-quality written documentation.
